The Other Side of Paradise is an intimate portrait of Arash, a Kurdish asylum seeker struggling with life alone in the UK. Forced to escape his home country and risking everything to get here, nothing could prepare him for the challenges his new life would bring. Unable to work and separated from friends and family, Arash is left to reflect on the difficulties of his past as his future hangs in the balance.

This documentary is as much about loss and isolation as it is about hope, resilience and determination.
