How to prevent Honey Fungus in trees
Root decay, branch failure, early autumn leaf colouring - it could be Honey Fungus. The biggest killer of trees and woody plants in the UK, by the time you see the honey-coloured mushrooms around the base of the tree, it's already dead.
With good soil and healthy plants, you can slow and even stop the spread of honey fungus altogether. Biochar encourages resistance to the disease and has been proven to reduce the impact of the disease when introduced to already contaminated soil environments.
